He has written the “Industry Code of Practice for Decking, Wood and Composite” for the Association of Professional Landscapers and is currently engaged with The Association in working with British Standards.
Karl has designed and landscaped hundreds of gardens and constructed thousands of square metres of decking structures.
In 2012 Karl created the Decking Network (Online) where he promulgates professional information pertaining to correct decking construction. Has been an editorial contributor to professional trade publications for decking. He also contributes to Spons Guide “External Works and Landscape Price Book”. He contributes copy to the media can be found in newspapers, Homes and Gardens, Homebuilding and Renovating magazine and others frequently.
As a proponent of the TASK training academy for land-based learning Karl has curated the LANTRA certified decking course which he presents. He is a lecturer on occasion to garden design colleges and Associations. In the past he has been the UK sole distributor of timber decking for Yvyra decking and cladding.
Karl has been an experienced professional landscape gardener since 2003. He is a landscaping expert in the following areas.
